Heated side windows .......and ventilation

The recent cold snap has highlighted that the ventilation in the rear of the car does not seem to clear the glass of mist quickly enough - and the heated side windows at the very back of the vehcile do not appear to be working/effective.

I am assuming that the heating elements come on at the same time as the rear screen?

I also see an air vent at the foot of each rear side window although there is no control and the manual does not show these to be part of the cars powered ventilation system.

Any bright ideas?

I think you will find that the elements in the rear windows are Radio Antenna not heating elements?

They are in both sides which seems overkill but hey ho.

No worries, I assumed the same back in 1993 on a Vogue SE and I mentioned to the Dealer "what a nice touch" but he then pointed out they were antenna, Embarassed

They work better both sides - on my FL2 only had one side and reception was poor when boot full and changing direction of travel Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
