AFTER ONE WEEK-- STRANDED !

I have had my car one week only and overall i love it. We took the car down to the inlaws in Kent, and parked it up the drive. The next time it moved was on a low loader back to the dealer in Cumbria. The landrover guy who came out did not know why it would not start and after a re boot told me it was fixed. He left and of course when i tried to start it it just turned over with no fuel getting through.GUTTED OR WHAT after five problem free years with german cars this is a worry. Oh by the way landrover assist only give you a hire car if you have your drivers licence with you at the weekend so we had to stay until monday until they could phone DVLA. What a great start to the ownership experience.

Commiserations, dellis. I wouldn't want to be stuck at my inlaws all weekend either Crying or Very sad

Hope you get it sorted - these sorts of issues, although not entirely common do seem to be well known and as such should be sorted reasonably quickly by your dealer. Good luck and let us know how you go with it Very Happy

I have got my car back today, it turns out to be a fuel injection problem. Anyway it returned nice and clean and the dealer even filled the tank. I must say it is so much better than the diesel vogue they gave me as a hire car, no offence but the engine is very tractor like and the interior is not as good as the sport.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Dellis, I ran a TD6 RR before the Sport and I agree with you, the TD6 is a wheezy old cart horse compared to the TDv6 and I don't know how people can buy an RR these days when the TDv6 is so much better. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Dellis, glad the back up service provided was more in keeping with a premium car, even if the initial reliability isn't.

I've had mine for nearly five weeks and have only had a minor wobble in nearly 3k miles.

You'll come to learn, as I have that this is all part of the experience!

Dellis this might make you feel a bit better I was given a Toyota Yaris 1 litre for 10 days as a loan car when my RR Vouge was taken in after my drive shaft poped out, she was only 13 days old Big Cry .

Also while being delivered to the dealer on a low loader I left the keys in it to check how the Tracker Monitor would work, yes you've guessed it I ended up ringing Tracker to see why they hadn't rung and was told they have no knowledge of the vehicle being moved Great !!!.

I must say though once the LR bug has got you it's got you Thumbs Up

I have to say despite the let down i am enjoying the car a lot. It makes a change to have a car that does not make me want to drive flat out everywhere. Also i know it is not as fast as the SC but it does not feel slow where it counts mid range, and that is after my last car a 997s. I wonder if i am getting old ?

It's been discussed several times on this forum, but there are many "speed freaks" here who've been mellowed by RRS ownership.... Hand me my slippers and pipe! Wink
