United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Maya Gold
Fitting Electric Locking Rear Diff. ???

Does anybody know if it is possible to fit an electric locking rear diff to an early RRSS HSE TDV6 ?
Mine is an early model, one of the first off the line. It has a non locking diff. The off-road dashboard display shows a padlock at the rear diff.
I suppose what I really need to know is where to look for the electrical connections in the main vehicle wiring loom to connect to the locking diff motor.
I have also heard somewhere that there may be some software options to enable or update

Any body with experience on this ??.........

Thanks
Steve

Far cheaper and probably easier to find a RRS with the locking diff fitted. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I agree with VA, usually "mechanical" extras that are fitted on the produion line are prohibitively expensive to fit afterward. Best bet is to go for an old S/C as they all had the ediff as standard and are cheaper to buy than an old TDV6
IIRC all the Land Rover Experience TDv6 RRS had the ediff fitted if you can find one of them - problem is they are all Silver.
The only member here who I know who specced both his V6 and TDv8 with ediffs was Josh and he now drives an

IIRC, it was looked into several times in some detail on the D3 site. Essentially it was at first declared "impossible", then after several people played with Faultmates etc, it was slightly downgraded to "impractical". The eDiff interacts with so many other systems that you end up re-looming almost the entire car, stripping it down to chassis!
