engines sounds odd like hollow sound not V6

Hi,

Have just had the 60,000 miles service on my 2.7 V6 HSE. The engine sound has always been the same hard to describe really but sounds like a hollow sound when driving normally i.e not accelerating fast.

Is this the normal sound of this engine, thought it may sound more like a V6, I know its a diesel and noisey but thought it may sound a bit more refined (should have got the V8!!!)

Thanks. RRS 2.7TDV6 HSE | Stornoway Grey | premium alpaca leather | premium harman kardman | side steps | 22" Stormers |

Yes, in a word, all noise and not much go, but i'm sure the V8'ters will be along soon and say "you should of gone for the V8" much more refined Thumbs Up

Hi,

Thought so, might need to get a stainless steel exhaust made. I had one made for a Volkswagen 2.4 diesel camper van and it made it sound very smooth and nice exhaust tone like a V6 so might get one for the RRS so it sound like a V8.

Might even try this 2 stoke oil in the tank as just filled up before diesel goes over £1.30 a litre tomorrow.

Thanks. RRS 2.7TDV6 HSE | Stornoway Grey | premium alpaca leather | premium harman kardman | side steps | 22" Stormers |
