Back from California - 1030 miles in a Chrysler Sebring cab'

Hi all,

Back from the U.S. to old blighty - it's cold here but I suppose it is home!

Got back on Sunday P.m, from Miami via London to Newcastle.

Drove from San Fran' airport as far as Sonoma county to the North, then slowly, from San Faran again to Monterrey via LA, staying at Santa Monica to San Diego and the southern tip of Coronada Island in the South.
Then back to LAX - another 3 hour drive to get a flight.

The car was a nearly new 2.0litre Sebring with Illinois plates for some reason. Had 16k miles on the clock but was faultless though a little underpowered. Espeically on the long Freeway Hills and Mountains.

I recommend anyone to drive down the 1, from Carmel where I got a parking ticket foe $25 via Big Sur for approx 70 miles to San Upiso or somewhere, where i got lost for only the first time.

Speed limit in all U.S. is 65mph which makes all the freeways more dangerous and everone is travelling at the same speed. Cops will pull you over for 70mph - which io saw at least twice.

Had the Beast at the Airport - seemed srrange driving on the left. New Jag, xkr cab' I collect 2moorow as it was garaged whilst away.
