New phone will not automatically connect ......

It needs me to make the phone visible (those with an HTC will know what I mean) and this lasts just 2 minutes, and in that time I have to do the 2121 code. However I like to just pitch up, drive and not phaff about with all that.

Any suggestions? I have searched previous threads but not seen an answer.

Do you think my LR software needs updating in some way?

9 times out of 10, my Desire will auto connect. The few times it doesn't, I have to delete the pairing on the phone and search again for the LR bluetooth signal. I actually suspect the phone's at fault.

Software upgrade at my dealer and now autoconnects seamlessly and even access to my directory !

Cost was £75 and had to be done. I was theere well over an hour. Was a bit of a punt because a result was not guaranteed - which is why I came back to put my experience on line for other HTC users.
