Offroading in the very far north of Scotland

http://www.scottish4x4forum.com/off-roadin...r-t833.htm

To find Loch Eriboll just go to the last map page in your road atlas, you cannot get any further north in the UK without getting your feet wet! Wish I had been able to make it with my 90. This is in the area where Clarkson made the "You can take the family Disco3 offroading too" video at Ben Tongue for TG not long after the D3 was launched. If you are a serious offroader and prepared to get the odd bump and scratch on your RRS (but it would be more fun in an old Defender) then the guys who run this event run it a couple of times a year - it is on a private sporting estate so you have to have the land owner's permission to go there in Scottish Law. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

It is beautiful up there, we used to go diving in Loch Eriboll for scallops Smile On the top of Ben Hope on mid summers night you have the shortest night of the British mainland being only about 30 minutes with the sun only just going below the horizon. There are some great forest tracks up there which are still classed as main roads, with the local roads dept. not maintaining them Fountain Forestry have covered them in compacted dirt and are now back in quite good condition.

Near Loch More, Caithness
