tool molding

Recently did a tour of the Pyrenees I was sort of support/backup as we were cycling with the view climbing some of the col's and camping each night, so space was at a premium,

I discovered I could take out the polystyrene tool molding , which makes a huge area for food and other stuff triangles (safety stuff) day glow bibs, first aid kit ;you get the picture?, leaving the boot area free for tents and general camping stuff.

It worked really well especially on the way back to the uk as you can fill the space full of booze,
mind word of warning I don't know if anyone else has had the same problem, or I'm just unlucky but I usually get stopped by customs at both ends leaving the country and returning; it must be a black RRS thing?

very lighthearted post but it was a great trip the car was great at climbing those mountains, I did a few but not with the same style.. a womans rule of thumb:if it has tyres or testicles your going to have trouble with it

I do my fair bite of eurotunnel trips every year but I have never been stopped by the customs... Grey RRS might be less of an issue than your black one Laughing Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Belgium 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue

years of traveling on the ferries and eurotunnel, at least once a week it wasnt until I got my RRS that I got stopped and searched and they practically dismantled it, got quizzed on the fact that I had a diffrent number plate in the boot than the reg of the car, it was one for the trailer when I tow with the MG, evry scrap of paper in the car was gone over even an old receipt from Aldi Whistle .
Not been stopped since that time in early 2008, they kept me hours and I ended up being very late for a business meeting arriving at 5pm instead of 12. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Hi Alicatt

On a more recent return from France, I stopped for fuel on the outskirts of Paris, there must have been something going down as the police and military were swarming all over; mirrors on sticks everything stop searches, however this time I managed to avoid any delay,

On leaving the service station I spotted an identical black RRS (Belgian plates) opened up, luggage strewn all over, it looked like it had exploded; it was only when I spotted the 'rummage squad' giving it the full treatment, the guy passed me a few miles down the road, looked well pizzed off.

MG thats the only way I can Move mine around now 'on a trailer' a womans rule of thumb:if it has tyres or testicles your going to have trouble with it
