Rear seat entertainment issue...

First long run with the kid and plugged an iPhone into the aux in order to view the movie on the rear screen...

With aux 1, image is good but sound is only on the right earphone (ie mono and not stereo) on both doors...

With aux 2, image is cr*pp and no sound at all....

The cable used is working fine on a TV ...

Anyone else with the same issue? Any quick fix or will it be a warranty issue for it's first annual service in october??? Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

I have never tried this and i have RSE and iPhone but searching around i found this

&feature=related

Apparently you need the Apple supplied Composite AV Lead and asking around only the apple supplied item performs as required, let me know which lead you have or speak to site sponsor Chorley Audio Thumbs Up

Thanks. I have the correct cable. Works well with different iPod (video one)/iPhone and even iPad when plug into a TV so the cable is not faulty...

As mention, when I use the AUX1 plug above the rear cup holders, the pictures on the headrest screen is good but sound is only mono (ie only one ear works, not both)...

when I use the AUX2, it just does not work...

Really seems like a cable issue between the plugs above the cup holders and the car system...

Guess I'll wait for the first service to add that to the list. Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Jimmy,

Leave the yellow plug in (Video) and then plug the red plug in (leave the white out). If you have sound then unplug the reg and plug it into the white to check both car inputs are working. If you get no sound then plug the white one in to check and then plug it into the red socket. This will diagnose if it's the lead/ipod or the car. Don't plug the yellow into the red or white.

You should by rights get the same result whether you are using Aux1 or 2, therefore it does sound like an issue with the vehicle (as you are getting a different problem on each). You could also try plugging an audio-only device in to see if it works. I'm guessing that you have the PAL set on the iPod?

In a nutshell, I think we need to have a look.

Thanks James,

Unfortunately, it does seems to be the car....

Will wait for the first service to sort it out as it is not a matter of urgency.... still got the TV/DVD to entertain my daughter (so spoil!) Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Apologies Jules. The guys will obviously sort it at service. If you would like it looked at sooner then just give us a call.
