Jacking up car?

I've read a few times about people jacking the car up in the wrong place and damaging the compressor. Is this an easy mistake to make? Wheres the best points to jack the car up by?

Also I remember reading somewhere ages ago (not on here) about having to open boot and put hazards on when jacking is this rubbish?

Thanks Adam Thumbs Up

I have a copy of the instructions for where to put a trolley jack, you should find them on the forum as that is where I got them - it was one of Bobby's excellent posts! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Boot open will do, Lock mine in access mode and jack on the wishbones. Less jacking to do and can use normal trolley jack which is a whole lot safer than the Landrover one provided
