United Arab Emirates 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Alaska White

Do the UK RRS SC's ever get fitted with Michelin Diamaris Radial X 275/40 R 20's?
I have them on my 08' Supercharged Sport and have found them to be superb...although I couldn't say if they are any good in the wet or not Mr. Green

How many of you guys would say that you drive your Sport quite 'hard'...this would obviously reflect on the life expectancy of your tires.

In the Middle East for example we've just discovered massive roundabouts and very inviting fly-overs which tend to coax the best out of any driver who's brave enough to risk 'giving it some' forty feet above the ground Whistle

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

The sport is really amazing to drive with traction off. Let's you put the power down out of corners much nicer. Instead of the car having a fit and straightening you up lol. I've been averaging 15mpg from my tdv8 and went through half of the front and all of the rear pads in 2000 miles... and 1000 of those were motorway! Calmed down since I was stopped by an officer who almost flipped his galaxy trying to keep up Whistle

I find the scorpions to be best all rounder and go for ages. Not tried the michelins though... WINNER - 2008 Best All New Photograph

2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zambezi Silver

Aled,

I agree with the previous poster that you've just got an inventive salesman. I assume the handbook says nothing about changing all 4.

When i bought mine the fronts had just been changed so obviously the need for all 4 to be changed at the same time hadn't spread. Plus on my RS2 (which I've had for 10 years) no one has ever suggested changing all 4 at once.

Still waiting for good prices on Pirellis to come up but suspect they may get even more expensive as winter comes on.

In all 4x4's it is the norm to change both tyres on the same axle at the same time.
There is no need to change all 4 at same time. One axle at a time also allows you to change tyre manufacturers and keep you legal at same time.

The advice given from the sales chap was bullshit looking to make a fast buck! TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Ye right, so you have just picked your new car up from the showroom with new tyres all round and you have a blow out on one and whilst it is in the repair shop you tell them to change both, more money than sense Whistle

I decided to go with the Hankooks in the end, and after 500 or so miles I have to say that I see no difference whatsoever between them and the scorpions that I had previously. If anything they seem slightly quieter at motorwat speeds.

I just hope these last as long (or nearly as long!).

Got them from National Tyres for £120 fitted.

Thanks for all the advice.

A
