I tend to lean toward the take up two bays camp. Not into squeezing into spaces designed for Smart Cars. But in some car parks you get a ticket for that - so beware.

If I pull into a tight space with young kids in the back, I make them wait for me to open the door for them to be sure we don't damage a motor someone else worked hard to buy. I even still remind my ten year old to be aware of the car next to us; and he is now very careful about it. Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.
