Has anybody tried the Memory Map app on the iPad yet? I'm intrigued to know how it gets it's GPS (A) signals when there is no 3g coverage as an iPad with Memory Map would be ideal for use off-road if the gps from the iPhone can be tethered to it, the screen being bigger makes map reading easier than on the iphone version of the app. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have the 64Mb 3g version too, when I synched it with my itunes the Memory Map for the iPhone got synched too but it is hopeless - I couldn't get any of my GB North maps to load into the iPad, you can only buy them in sections for the location you are in from the memory Map website, which isn't very useful if you are somewhere without 3g phone cover to download them. There is another iPad Memory Map app that is free, that is hopeless too! Otherwise I'm loving the Ipad and my iPhone is now only used as a phone or MP3 file store when it's hooked up to the audio system in the car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
