Off roading in Cumbria?

Anyone know of a site where you can go and take your own car off road in Cumbria?

Thanks

Adam

The Lake district National Park, in contrast to most others, is very well managed in terms of providing access to green lanes for recreational 4x4 use. All the routes are clearly marked using the Heirachy of Trail Routes. It is unusual to get any grief from other users.

Have a look here for all the routes available, from memory there are about 100 Km of green lanes up there.

Get yourself up and have a go. There is nothing that a standard RRS won't be able to handle...!

The only organised place I know is Kankoo but they use their own vehicles. If you come across an orange 4x4 heading the wrong way along Grizedale that is them...!
