Hi,

recently my alarm on the rrs keeps on going off randomly.

i have have noticed a few times, when i turn it off and re lock the car, the horn sounds, this leads me to believe one of the door switches is faulty.

tried to look for the door switches, but can not find them

does anyone know where they are located?

Possibly... Does the dash say you have a door / bonnet / boot open when clearly not? Cheers Paul

can't check that as can not see inside as the fronts are tinted slightly.

On occasion i have the horn sounding on the lock - unlock lock doesn't sort it and have had to open all doors and close again to eliminate the fault - i often suspect one of the tailgates as open but never narrowed it down...

the door switches is there anyway of getting to them, or do the door panels need to come off?

The door latch that incorporates the 'door ajar switch', unfortunately, is a sealed unit. Malaysia Boleh!

hI,

think got to the bottom of this, sat in the car last night for 1 hour with the interior sensors disabled.

and the alarm went off, and on the dash it said bonnet open.

so i think it is that, now where is the bonnet switch, opened the bonnet and could not see it any where.

The hood ajar switch is attached to the bottom of the right hand hood latch.  Malaysia Boleh!

all sorted the problem it was the bonnet switch, took it out and cleaned with some wd40 there was alot of dirt/oil on it, then fitted it back and it has been fine
