2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver
Extra security needed....

I need some help / advice on immobilising my RRS.

I am driving through Europe starting next week and just know that with all the best will in the world I will be forced to leave my RRS in some very dodgy places.

I wondered if anyone knows of a good / quick way to immobilise a TDV6?

Is there a fuel pump fuse or other fuse I can remove without throwing any fault codes when replaced?

I know that anyone determined enough will see straight through this, but hopefully the regular scum will get put off before finding another fuse or bridge wire.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Take a shotgun and sleep in it Whistle

Insure it and don't worry - pulling a fuse means that they'll have smashed there way in before finding it wont go - do you want to wake up to see it in bits or on fire or to find and empty space (obv neither ideally) but i'd rather see it go than in bits....

Make sure you leave nothing of value in it and nothing personal, leave you glove boxes empty and open if that bad an area... same with the tonnet cover - a pain but better than loss of personal stuff

...... where you heading Question

Something very visable like a steering lock can help. Thieves will usually head for the next vehicle if they see something that is going to delay them. Said RRS is now on order.

Can an RRS actually be driven away without the keys ?

I thought that was the reason the thieving scum have turned to breaking into houses to take the keys, as there is no way of “hotwiring” modern motors anymore !

Small time crack heads it makes it very hard as there brain dead looking for next fix

But if the pro's want it nothing stops them ! All u have to do is make it harder for them so they decide to nick the next car that don't have added security ..

The factory alarms are ok but there are better than can be fitted
