When the voice commands is on turn the sound up. Its the same knob for the radio. When the person is talking is when you turn the volume up. Hope you understand this, Hard to explane. Good luck. |

Thanks for the response but the sound on the SAt Nav was initially ok and when it cut in to give directions the radio volume went down and the Sat Nav instructions were loud and clear but now the message sound is so soft I can barely hear it. My wife says I'm getting old but then she could'nt hear it either. |

I was looking through some other threads and something jogged my memory about some settings on the stereo that I now remember changing and low and behold the volume is now back to where it should be. There is a button next to the radio on/off switch with a music sign on it and info at the bottom. By holding it in for a few seconds it brings up a secondary menu that gives access to the volume control setting to make the stero louder when driving faster and the offset sound controls for the Sat Nav. Glad I sorted that out! Apologies for wasting anyones time!! |

This would be the Automatic Volume Control (AVC) I think. AVC adjusts the volume level to allow for the changes in road noise as the vehicle speed increases or decreases.
