Uneven tyre wear

Just noticed both rear tyres are scrubbing the outside edge of the tyre. The rest of the tyre is wearing evenly but the edge 1" or so is nearly smooth. I assume this is an alignment problem. Does it have to be adjusted by my local stealer or can any alignment specialist sort this?

Seems that I find a problem on a weekly basis now. I hate this car! FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Anyone could do it i would think - there is a recent (but old) thread on alignment and tracking started by a member from Oz IIRC

Cheers MAW. Just found it - its helpfully confirmed it is the alignment. That's another £500 down the pan for tyres then! FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I seem to remember a post on a USA forum about this and some talk of a class action legal claim against Land Rover about tyre wear like this. Try a google search.

My front nearside is wearing unevenly and I suspect the new tyre that has done 1,000 miles will be Censored soon. I am fortunate that my local village garage has a 4 wheel alignment machine linked to a computer.

Muff If you see a bandwagon - it's too late.....
