Wrong end of the stick Andy. All I'm saying is that I've seen the 11my product brief and there is no mention of a 4.0 TDV8 being introduced for 11my.

The Sport won't get the new TDV8, I believe the FFRR will get it by years end, once this happens, I expect the TDV8 to be dropped from the RRS altogether. LR will rationalise the engine line up, heard there will be a high and low output TDV6 for the RRS.

Hi Guys.

Yes we know Stuart at New Car deals, who owns that website also.
They buy and supply a lot of LR's from dealers around the country and obtain quite healthy discounts which they pass on to their customers. We provide finance for those customers of his that require an arrangement, and so far they are a pleasure to deal with and we have never had any problems.

On the 4.0 TDV8 front, there is a lot of speculation around that we have heard of also, Stuart has a number of dealers who he works with who are taking deposits from customers for the anticipated engine, but a release date is not yet known. I heard from someone that works for LR that the 3.6 TDV8 will be 're-done' as there is just not enough performance gap between it and the 3.0 V6 currently to justify the price differential, so i wouldn't be surprised if they do launch the 4.0 TDV8 for the RR and the RRS sometime soon.

Let's see what happens.. all mere speculation at present, but sounds logical to me.
Also i heard something about the emissions of the 3.6 V8 being a point of review for LR quite soon, with the new 3.0 and 5.0 being on full roll out now, surely this is the only engine they will be looking at for the present time?

‘LR are stopping production of the 3.6 TdV8 engine and will NOT be replacing it with a 4.0 for the RR Sport
The 4.0 TdV8 is only going in the big Range Rover
The Sport will now only have the 2 engines, the 3.0 TdV6 and the 5.0 S/C

..... and there isn't a 4.0 going into the L322 either. The embaro will be lifted w/c 7th June when all will be revealed.

its 4.4l TDV8 and comes only in the Mac Daddy ..... not in the RRS
