On MY10 you can hear it bind up on the back brake discs (not drums) and yes it does release if you press the gas. MY10 3.0 HSE Santorini Black, Ivory Premium & extended leather, privacy, paddles, diamond turned alloys, Ipod lead that charges, tasmods, rrsport.co.uk stickers

when i first got mine, i tried every combination of gears to see if it could be accidentally knocked into drive,( as this is my first auto) couldnt do it at all,it locks until the brake and the button on the gearshift is pressed , as you all know.

Don't follow it..............you wont make it. The first 4 x 4 by far. |

The parking brake is an electrically actuated system that operates drum brakes integrated into the rear brake discs. Each drum brake consists of a pair of brake shoes installed on a backplate attached to the rear hub carrier.
