Well, Have now made my choice and have gone for the HTC Legend. It's a cool bit of engineering, made from a single block of milled aluminium.... it's lovely... Just waiting for it to be delivered

Agree It would be nice to see some genuine innovation from the other manufacturers rather than variations on an iPhone theme! Ok - Work is about to issue me with the Blackberry Curve 8520, does anyone know of any problems between Blackberry and LR bluetooth. Mainly to retrieve emails while on the road. I have an ipod touch which interacts with LR via the ipod lead very well so i dont feel i really need an iphone as well as ipod. Is the blackberry a good choice

It doesn't look anything like an iPhone... It's a PDA derivitive design (which has been around much longer than iPhone). At the end of the day all PDA/Smartphones are going to have things in common due to the uses they are put too. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Endjin....know you've got your phone now....but why is it do you think the iphone has now sold over 50 million units in 3 years? It is an amazing product and I challenge anyone to tell me there is an out and out better product out there? Your phone and software will be redundant long long before the iphone does. It's almost reaching iconic status. yes PDA design has been around for a long while, but in terms of uses, nothing rivals it. Only other product that comes in better, in terms of email, is a Blackberry - but for web browsing, applications, music etc. I just wish mate you would admit that the product is better but your choice was made in terms of budget.

Sorry NickM...I think your wrong...Android is a terrific platform...really quick OS with very few bugs and has loads of free apps and as it has an open system means your not stuck with using just the one market.. Would never say i-phone is bad( daughter has 3g and loves it) but android definitely rivals it and in many areas surpasses it |

Ok, good product maybe, but why is it not a successful product? And we know what happens when products don't sell well on the open market...support and products for the phone start to vanish and you end up with a redundant phone.... |

Nick, I don't understand your reply I never said there was anything wrong with the iPhone!!.. You were the one that said that "Every phone wants to be an iPhone" All I said was that I didn't agree that the Legend was copying the iPhone.... Sorry if that offends you, but I think we are all entitled to make our choices. If you read my earlier posts on this you would see that I did consider an iPhone but that cost was a major factor in my decision along with the fact that I would be duplicating many functions of my iPod touch .... Which by the way I love to bits! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

But to be fair....... Not as as the cameras in all HTC phones! That is one real weak point... but for my needs I don't really care about cameras on phones so it wasn't a decision point for me when looking for a new one. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black 2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby) GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010) GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007) GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black |
