Why? You will always get some issues on any brand new car. They are incredibly complex and sometimes things go wrong. You're also getting a scewed view of ownership from the forum as most people ask how to resolve issues on here after searching the internet. There's not many people soo happy with their cars of any make and model that they search out a forum just to say how good and fault free their pride and joy is. If the RRS is really as bad as you beginning to think then Land Rover would be doign recalls galore and buyers would be taking their cars back and demanding a refund. My RRS was brilliant, 40,000 miles and all it needed was some new front bushes (done under warranty). It was a pleasure to drive and had presense. Of course, it's your money and you must do what you believe is best. IMHO though, if I could I've have another RRS tomorrow. Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame! Gone: 2003 Audi S4 - 340BHP of Fun Gone: 2005 RRS SE, Silver, Chrome Mirrors, Tinted with a stupid spare wheel! Gone: Audi A4 2.5 TDi Quattro 180bhp Gone: BMW 535i Gone: 1985 Audi Quattro Gone: Subaru Imprezza Turbo (rubbish) |

^^As above, pick any car you might be thinking about, find the main owners' independent forum on the Internet, and you'll get loads of people reporting problem after problem. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

I loved mine up untill it disappeared into the dealers for over 2 months and even after that they couldn't guarantee it was fixed this time so I got rid. Minor niggles etc I can live with, (I have a couple with the X5 I'm waiting for a part for just now) that length of time is a not acceptable on that price of car. Would I have another?? YES!! I would have but for the lacklustre attitude of 3 Scottish dealers in wanting to sell a car. I was content to wait till one came up but family problems prevented me waiting for Lookers to come up with something with the right price/spec for me. I love the X5 but next time round I'll be looking at an RRS or D4 as well before I choose. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

Had my RRS for exactly 3 years, 18,000miles, and loved it. Very few issues with it - all fixed during routine servicing at dealers.
