Have noticed my side steps are starting to corrode, mentioned to stealer who put me through hoops as to how and when they had been fitted ect, showed him the problem and following usual sharp intake of breath and the usual not sure LR will cover stone chipping (stone chipping they are f g corroding) he stated that he would check, still no news, has anybody else had this issue and how helpful was LR in replacing.

I think you'll have a battle with them to get this done under warranty. As you mentioned, they'll use some excuse about the stone chip is the reason for why corrosion has been able to happen due to salt etc being able to penetrate the now unprotected chipped part. Yet we all know a stone chip can't corrode anything!!!

The stainless steel tirm of my side steps have corroded that badly that both have actually just fallen off due to the bolts on rear of them corroding! FOR SALE
