England

All seems good on the numbers until you drive both.

i tow with my TDV8 and tried a new TDv6 round town not that far off until you hit an incline and floor it then it is a poor second , but when you tow its even more of an issue the V6 3.0 does not cut it against the TDv8 Sad it is like chalk and cheeseyyyyyyyyyyy....................

All the info seems to be the new 4.4 will not go in the RRS only the big boy Sad i think a big mistake, a 4.4 V8 burner with near on 1000NM torque !! or is it that it will be quicker than the V8 petrol !!! in the Sport ?

There is no replacement for good old CC in the real world , and the new 3 bmw twin turbo 2010 engine has another 31% ( i think that's how the numbers add up ) more grunt than the 2010 RRS 3.0 V6 Sad So on paper the new X5 engine will destroy the RRS 3.0 on both performance and fuel a real pain in the neck i hate the BMW its ride and feel is nothing like as good as the RRS. Then you have the VW with its big oil burner , the crap porka with its big oil burner both are grunt engines but with some economy if you are not heavy with the loud foot. The Q7 monster but the numbers on that are scary and all its electrical issues and poor Audi dealer service.
But if the TDV8 goes out of sport then there is only the guzzling 5.0 SC in the sport for a performance tow car IMO Sad Sad Sad Big Cry

I think RR will miss a big opportunity with the sport with no performance oil burner in the line up. 2014 5.0SC AB

Gone 5.0 SC

The 3.0TDV6 is very good and so is the TDV8, and I can't imagine LR will leave it there. As the manufacturer of one of the defining sport 4x4s, would you expect them to stop development? Every silver lining has a cloud

2007 D3 HSE with winch, RAI, sliders, roof rack, ladder, yellow top, Engel etc for the school run
2010 RRS TDV8 HSE for work
