RRS -MPG/chip tune??

Ladies and Gent's

I'm a new boy to the LR world and I read with interest several topic's on MPG/chip tune for the RRS tdv6. Having never had a RR and always wanted one from way back in the mid 80's. I've recently bought a RRS tdv6 (2.7) and i'm getting 22-24mpg (Going on average trip metre) which appears to be the norm, looking at the recent reviews.
Is this the norm or could I get better return, don't get me wrong I like the power also! But.........
Can anybody tell me (honestly), if by re-mapping will improve MPG. I can't seem to find any hard figures?? and who/whom would be the best to carry out this task?

P.S I've carried out the usual tyre pressure checks, air filter change to K&N. (Not yet tried different diesel as yet)

Thanks for your help.

I find premium diesel will increase the MPG. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

A good remap will improve performance & as a result you will probably drive it less hard & therefore slightly improve you fuel consumption by 2/3 mpg overall generally running around.
I would suggest that you have a chat with some of our sponsors who will be able to advise you better as remaps can be adjusted within reason to customer requirements. (Pete @ BASREMAPS for example) I am their leader................ which way did they go ?
