Chex, I have the SE with bog standard system, it's pretty good as it comes. I would save your 600 notes and put it toward another accessory... unless you really need £600's worth of HiFi! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Do you want an in-dash 6-disc CD changer, or MP3 on CD capability? If not, just get the base system... you can still "upgrade" the sound if it is not to your liking by tapping the amplified outputs and using new speakers and amplifiers. But you can't easily replace the whole stereo/head unit without impacting the vehicle. |

The 'bog' standard system plays MP3's that have been burned onto a cd well at least mine does. For me the main difference is the standard has no aux input for an i-pod, although my knowledgeable dealer assured me it did ! Although judging by the comments on it's performance an after market solution sounds better........I couldn't justify the upgrade (900 euro's) and I am pleased with the standard version.

That is because the D3 is a Discovery and not as "upmarket" as the Sport which is a Range Rover................... you pay more for less, just like buying a coupe!! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I know that's an old thread but since I order my RRS SE with Europe specs I discovered that the car comes with base audio.

very good indeed, One question though regarding the Logic 7. In your pdf, hi line audio doesn't mention Logic 7. In LR's site as I mentioned before it states logic 7 as part of Hi Ice. What is the truth? And what is logic 7 in words? 2009 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 SE, Alaska White, Almond leather, tinted windows, active rear diff, tow pack, HiICE, full spare: gone and already missed 2004 Fiat Panda 1.2 Climbing 4x4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAg4DdXAp7Y |
