I got the "full monty" connector with the USB in the glove box now after 2-1/2 years of use it gets a bit intermittent and won't charge the iPhone but I can charge and playback the iPhone/iPod(32Gb and 80Gb) via the USB in the glove box. There is a limit to the size of "memory" you connect to the USB but I can't remember what it was. Anyway it won't play back MP3 files from a 60Gb external USB powered HDD but will playback from 256Mb memory sticks, when the wife comes back from dropping the grandkids off at school I'll give it a go with a 20Gb HDD and see. Always worth checking the ipod /iphone connector for pocket dust, as I slip my phone in and out of my pockets all day and sometimes fluff collects in the charge slot - a toothpick soon sorts it out |
