United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver
What Polish

We here it is. My new RRS (new to me) is coming up to being ready for its first clean. I know that the sensus of opinion seems on here that they are best left dirty but I am a bit of a cleaning freek Shocked . I have always used either MER or Autoglym. Any suggestions or prefereed polishes that people use. Also what for the plastic.

I must say that this is the first RRS I have had the pleasure to own and am loving every minute of the first week of ownership.

Oh and Hi to the forum new here also

Bless Land Rover for building it Bow down

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

One of the forum guys here sold a Dodo Juice kit which is pretty good and came at a decent price. Not sure if it's still on offer.

I used Menzerna 203s on a dual action machine polisher to refine the body work then protected it with the Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger kit. Blackfire is another sealant that gives a lovely finish.

For plastics, I recommend this product

I used it on my RRS and 12 months later it's look spot on. Gone: RRS : HSE : TDv6 : 57 : Java Black : Ebony : 20"

Do D0 is always a good choice - but also Maguires too - check the condition of the paint and see if any contaminants on it - if so clay it first, and then clean again, and polish the car with a good paint cleanser - try Auto Glym Super Resin Polish - kinda does all three in one go.....maybe with 3 applications...you can get the desired finish....there is no real right or wrong, more a case of finding a product you like working with.....

I wouldn't really start with a polisher/dual action - unless you have a spare panel to practice on - you could end up doing more damage than you expected.....so don't rush the polisher side...take your time. Yes the results are better - but try a hand polish and wax first....

What is exactly clay ?

For a quick everyday grooming, are you pro or against this :

My guess is it could scratch the paintwork by carrying around particles of dirt it's supposed to collect. 2010 TDV6 3.0 HSE Santorini Black Tan Full Leather
