Thanks Mr Shmoogle I'll drop a PM his way. I'm considering a variety of different options this time round and need to know whats achievable without detracting from my beer tokens too extensively Smile WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Perhaps one of our resident experts might post up a potted idiots guide to the various options and their relative merits tax wise,i know I would find that useful for my next purchase.
I'm currently on a contract hire with service and paying a substantial personnal contribution to the monthly lease cost which seems to be fairly effective but would welcome any better options as I'm hoping to change to a V8 HSE and clearly this will hit me harder in my pocket. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Hi Guys.

Would be pleased to assist with any enquiries, but financial products available on the market place with lenders dipping into and out of (more the latter) the UK market means the products on offer are changing all the time.

Also every budget does see movements in the most efficient way of financing your vehicle so more often then not, it is better if anyone who requires any info to get in touch with us independently as we need to know all about their situation and requirements and then point them in the right direction and provide individual quotes. Putting up info on here may soon go out of date with products changing and being retracted by the lenders.

As Kam says, it all depends on personal circumstances. The main questions are:

1. What is the deposit and is it flexible.
2. What is the monthly budget and is it flexible.

Usually one or both of the above is fixed and not flexible. With this info you can then get an idea of affordability (excluding what the best package would be). Then the questions are:

3. Private or business.
4. On or off balance sheet (owned or hired).
5. Is the company cash rich.
6. What is the p11d implication to the driver.

Once the above is established then the flowing needs to be considered:

7. Desired term of ownership.
8. Regular change.
9. Annual mileage
10. Fully or partially maintained.

Hopefully if the finace broker or dealer has an idea of the above then they can steer you towards the best solution.

James Thumbs Up

"I like Tim in Scotland, but I also like MAW........... but which one is better.............. Fight!!!!"

To be fair, Kam will be better to advise on the 'technicalities' and I can advise on the special rate and campaign stuff!

James Thumbs Up
