!!!Sound Problems!!!

Hello i have a RRS with a audio and function problem.

Ok the problem started while driving home the volume died. The next day i noticed the there was no sound coming from any thing in the RRS and also the volume control wouldnt adjust volume treble , bass , balance etc. Stereo works overwise fine tunes into stations and plays cd's as well of sat nav but just no sound.

Been doing some reseach of similar problems and the majority of the were fixes of software updates.
if this is my problem could sombody tell me how to update or reload the software my self.

Because the main dealer round here is completely useless.

Many thanks in advance
Steve.

Afraid a trip to the dealers it is.
It could be a "failed EQ file download muting amplifier" and most probably will need to upload the latest software after a complete hard reset. Malaysia Boleh!

I have same problem. Driving along and lost all sound. The head unit is on, I can adjust volume, stations, etc but no sound. It's going into the dealer next week and I was hoping I could point them in the right direction as they haven't got a clue and I don't want to be paying them for wasting time due to their incompetetence. Any help appreciated

Mine has been muting it self for 4 years, new unit, new wiring loom, new software, still not fixed.. all but given up.. usually find a continuing ramp up and down of the volume may get it to kick in .. Evil or Very Mad Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
