thanks you. the above worked. i had first gone to dealer in Park royal and they quoted me beteen £300 to £500 and made up some story anout sensors had gone and need replacing. But after reading the forum, i tried to hold the tailgate down and press button on the tailgate (not hold down) and it worked on the second go.

hello everyone,

Thank you, thank you very much for all those explications. I managed to solve my problem with your method.

The boots stopped working while I was making my new installation : replacement of the OEM radio with an all in one radio (kenwood). I thought I made a bad electric junction so I was really worried.

Finaly, tonight, everything is working, thanks to this forum in which I found everything needed for my DIY.

I have this same problem with mine now. The boot is closed but not fully, kind of like its on a latch. The top glass half opens fine.
The open all button isn't making any sound like its trying to unlock anything, is pushing the boot closed while pressing it still going to work?
