Iphone Cradle for armrest??

Hi

Done a search but can't come up with an answer. Is there a cradle now available for the iphone, to go in the centre armrest? Would be nice to get it working with the external aerial for a better reception.

Thanks

Never heard of one I'm afraid...

Also, I wonder if the iphone actually have a connection in the base for an aerial anyway.

Nope. In fact, LR have even taken the cradle fitment away with no new cradles being developed. Shame though, as it was useful to be able to have the option of using the fin aerial, but you can understand why; with new phones coming out virtually every 5 minutes it's not possible for a car mfr to keep on making different shape cradles with different pluggery etc to keep up so it's Bluetooth all the way now.

Don't see why they cannot replace the old under cubby lid system with the iPod/iPhone interface as so many people seem to want MP3 player connectivity. The other thing about that cradle was that it allowed the phone to be charged without having cheap and nasty charger cables on view. There are plenty of suction pad holder devices that could be adapted to fit under the lid that can hold all shapes and sizes of player/smart phone 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hello,

I have installed a common cradle from www.brodit.com in my RRS MY2010 in the cup holder. This is doing the job.

On a german forum I have put detailed install instructions - in german. But the links and pictures show a lot...

Greetings
gseum
