Hi all, new member here and about to sell my immaculate First Edition 05 RRS for a new 3.0 HSE 2010 RRS.
The BIG question though is which bl**din colour combo do I choose as its now driving me MAD!?

I'd like something different to Silver, plus in 2010 guise I'm not sure Silver is its best hue. Therefore, i've considered the following:

Alaska White: Black, Arabica or Tan
Bali Blue: Ivory or Black
Nara Bronze: Arabia or Almond
Santorini Black: Ivory
Stornoway Grey: Ivory

Not that bothered with extra spec since HSE has more than i'd want anyway (+ £50k is absolute limit....infact too much!), except full leather (now stnd) and the contrast stitching where available.

Your advise, pics, opinions, votes etc MOST APPRECIATED.

I have to say my next one will be Alaska/Ebony.........there is one local to me and it looks oh so cool when it drives by me........I used to feel the king of the road in mine, until I saw the new Alaska one.

Need to find a few pennies and trade up, might wait until the end of the year and get a nearly new one, fingers crossed!

I chose Ipanema Sand/Ivory. Delivery is in March. Every silver lining has a cloud

I was exactly in the same dilemma as you but made up my mind and ordered an Alaska/Ebony only to change it to Silver/Ebony afterwards. There are just too many white RRS around over here and they are beginning to look pretty ordinary

Silver has completely gone out of fashion but IMHO suits the MY10 RRS very well. The thing is that Silver always looks good no matter in what kind of light or weather. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

I saw a black with the orange the other day looked stunning. Only my opinion but I don't think that white looks that good on the 10 model.

I might be old fashioned in this but I guess the combo depends on your "position"
If I had to choose and wouldn't be bothered on the above I would go for Alaska/Ebony.
However if I was to consider the above I would rather select the classic - Sanotirini/ivory.

Had the same issue when going from Zermat Silver 07MY to 10MY. If you get the same colour again might not feel like you have bought a new vehicle

It also depends how old you are

Over 50, loosing your hair - Stornaway or Nara
Young and trendy like Moi and VA - Alaska White with Ebony and contrast stitching

Follower of the crowd - Santorini black

Oh and Bali Blue - Going slightly mad, just look at PPE

Thanks everyone for some good input.

You're dead right about age and persona. As i'm not yet 40, I guess that rules out sensible Nara and Stornoway.

This leaves Black/Ivory, White/Ebony or Blue/Ivory, all awesome colours. Problem is each time I see a colour I switch my allegiances (fickle!).

Like today, loving the White all week and then see the Bali (loving yours PPE!) that lives locally drove by me today.

One things for sure, and that's the RRS definitely look better all grimed up, which is a good job as mine's always getting mucky!

Pickup - just to add more confusion -

I saw a dark blue colour on two cars yesterday at Lookers Battersea. 'Meguna or Meluga' Teal.
Fantastic when the sun was shining on it. But I'm biased blue.

Let us know what you choose - I am in the same quandry for my MY10.
