£50-£70 re-furb per wheel and they will look like new. Stick with the 20" you have and get them re-furbed. 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8, Stornoway Grey |

I just put 22's on my S/C and they look great. To drive they don't feel much different to the original 20's. Depends on what you prefer really. Generally I would say older people prefer to keep the 20's and to not mess with the car. Anyway the 22’s were cheap enough and the way I see it, it now gives me a chance to get my standard wheels refurbished and I can always stick them back on if and when I feel like it. |

Where did you get yur 22 from plz ? I hear some wheels won't take the weight of a RRS ! Have you had any problems of wheels cracking ? Did you buy your 22 with tyres because alot of people are doing deals but they come with crap tyres !!! Thanks |

I got mine form a friend of a friend and I was very lucky as the guy I got them from had bought the wheels and then sold the car shortly after. I was lucky as got a brand new set of 22 wheels with brand new Pirelli Scorpion tyres for a just over a grand. I believe the tyres themselves retail for more than that. I would have a look on eBay if I were you. I priced up some Kahn wheels and Toyo tyres from EBay and I found I could get a set for 1500.00 new from ebay. And I presume by 'crap' tyres you mean the likes of Toyo? They are not too bad really. But I have to admit I also prefer to go for a bigger brand tyre such as Michelin or Pirelli for peace of mind. I have only done about 300miles on my wheels so far so no signs of cracking as yet! But funny enough when I took the original SC wheels off I’m sure there is some cracks on one of them. I’ll get it checked out when I get them refurbished. The one thing to make sure of when buying tyres is that you get extra load or XL as these are designed for the extra weight and are for cars like the RRS and things like vans etc. |
