2.7 or 3.0 v6 hse ??
Hi Guys
New to this forum and the RRS so please bear with me, I ve started looking into buying the RRS and would like to know if there is a considerable difference between the 2.7 and 3.0 versions of HSE ie power/ weight ratio etc
I,d like to buy a RRS with an engine size suitable for the size, providing enough kick and economical on the juice.
I,m mostly looking at used models mostly 2006 and 2007, any major difference between the two years?
Also Lookers have been mentioned in Park Royal, would they be trusted for bodywork and maintenence?
Tks

only my opinion but traded up to 3.0 from 2.7 and am enjoying the difference, though may be clouded by improvements to MY10purple people eater

The 3.0 is much better than the 2.7 in both performance and economy, the downside is that it only became available last September so will cost you a lot more money to get hold of the car in the first place.
I would have to advice that you got a TDV8 since its better than both of the above and available n the older cars, sure you will get less miles to the gallon but its worth it.
My TDV8 is chipped and still returns an average of 25mpg on normal driving and 30mpg+ if you take it steady on a run.......drive like a fool and its down to 18mph but more fun than a roller coaster so who cares once in a while!

was for some reason talked out of the TDV8 by the sales team, probably because they had a purple TDV6 to shift before the end of ther monthpurple people eater

Have you driven a TDV8 or even a chipped TDV8.........if not I'd stay away from one or it might get a little expensive if you get hooked.
I've not tried a 3.0 RRS but did take out a new 3.0 HSE D4 and as nice as it was it's not a patch on the TDV8!
