After just under a year of superb trouble free motoring Im staring my 1st service in the face and I have a few questions !
1) Mods
I definitely have the wonky drivers seat and would like the option of having the front suspension knocking fixed too. The suspension thing is very random on my TDV8 unlike the seat issue. Will a dealer put me through the mill on a test drive or just mod the front suspension without arguing as my worry is that it wont knock on demand when they test it?
2) Cost
Simple - how much have you been charged?
3) Time
How long for the service, the seat mod and the suspension knocking fix?
4) Courtesy car
What have you been given and have you been charged for it?
Many thanks

IF as your post suggests your car is only a year old, then all the
issues with suspension & seat should be fixed under warranty
at NO cost to you. I don't know anything about the seat issue but
as for the suspension knocking, there is an official LR technical
bulletin that tells the dealers what to check for and what work to
carry out to rectify it. My Dealer (Town & County Aberdeen) carried out
the work without any problem. My car was in the workshop for 2 days
to have the suspension problems resolved. My dealer also provides a free
courtesy car and it has always been at least a Freelander 2. They give the
option of having it on their insurance (at a small cost to you) or on your own
insurance (cover note required, but no cost to you). I would imagine most LR
main dealers would offer the same service. Hope this helps.2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Its the suspension knock that worries me on account of being intermittent and infrequent
The bulletins Ive read thanks to Bobby etc suggest most dealers will repair the seat without quibble but insist on a test drive before doing the suspension which may or may not knock with the service manager on board
Im interested in hearing other peoples experiences
Oh and Im not expecting to pay for warranty work either
