I was watching a program on these earlier and they are usually detonated by mobile phone. I presume the vehicle is parked so close the the bombs because it has some phone blocking devise working. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The way he was digging and treating the scene looks a little odd to me, they weren't intact and if a genuine scenario 2 things, last thing you'd want is an idiot running a commentary that close to you, and you'd treat the 'threat' a little more cautiously incase of trips or secondary devices. Even if they had a blocker running you'd never be that sure....

Not disputing the excellent EOD work that goes on but this seems a little 'odd'....
