Afraid I can't agree with that Kaine......Why should I be penalised for drinking in my own home not doing anybody any harm....It's just another stealth tax. Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame!

because its a drug and kills thousands of people every year - it leads to suicides, child abuse (neglect) and lovely poeple having moments of madness and ending up either in prison or dead.

unfortunately Jonty many people cannot control both the volume and what they drink

Many are lucky enough not to experience this or even have contact with it, however this is the reality of alchohol

Unfortunately even increasing the price will still not save many people as basics such as food and heat will be sacrificed to drink, however at least it will reduce the volume that the young can consume and save some.

Call it a stealth tax if you want - dont really care - at least it could have at least some good.
