I can do a short run starting from Stirling or Perth if preferred, all on road, following some of General Wade's Military Roads and taking in some things like Sherriffmuir and Crieff rather than the full on one we did in August, 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

If we're goin to make it into a weekend jolly then what we going to do for accomodation for all? I might be able to swing a deal with a couple of the hotels round Pitlochry/Dunkeld area if anyones interested? More numbers then should be able to get a better price per room! Let me know if anyones interested. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

Would a midweek meet be something that would suit folks in view of Ash's short visit? Was wondering about sticking more to main roads inview of current road conditions and folks not really wanting to dig cars out of snowdrifts. Thought about Stirling/Callander/Crianlarrich/Tyndrum/then back down the west side of Loch Lomond to get folks back onto the motorway system if needs be, or if the weather is OK, could take Callander/Aberfoyle via Trossachs routes/East side Loch lomond/ Back to Stirling. Depends if folks want fast A roads or scenic back roads to drive on. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

In 2 weeks we will probably be back in a heatwave................................ at the moment all the main roads are clear and most B-roads in the Central Belt are as well. The problem will be if we get rain in the next few days as we have had nearly a week when the temperature has never got above zero so any rain will immediately freeze on contact with the road surface. I will stick to the major routes if the current cold weather continues. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

We had to salt and grit our own small estate here 4WD, We asked for more salt today and were asked by the roads department why we had used what was in the roadside box.................. it was the final straw for one of my neighbours who told the roads guy, in very picturesque language that made even me blush, exactly why we had emptied the box! There were a tremendous number of words beginning with F,C and B that I had to shield my ears from.......... but the roads dept guy certainly got the message. The irate neighbour is a retired clery-man who still wears his dog-collar which I think kinda shocked the roads guy into getting us some more salt!! After 4 days we are still waiting for the snow plough and gritter to come along the main roads, doubtless they will time their trip out to us for a couple of hours before we get some very heavy rain......
