In a market for a 06-07 RRS SC! Quality of ride!

Hello everyone!

I'm in market for a 2006-07 Range Rover Sport Supercharged! I've never driven one yet, but have driven a 2007 2.7 TDV6 HSE RRS with 20 inch wheels! I've read somewhere that the basic suspension of the diesel HSE version is crappy with 20 inch wheels! I've owned a 2003 FFRR and in comparison with the 2.7 RRS, the quality of ride sucks! This is quite important to me and I'd like some feedback because I'm pretty close to get a 2006 FFRR SC!

Thanks in advance

The suspension isn't crappy - far from it! The problem is with the wheels and any car that weighs over 2.5 tonnes and has minimal rubber will feel hard. If you drive any RRS fitted with 20's and then one with smaller wheels you will notice a huge difference. Having 20's is a vanity thing and if you're after a smooth ride go for smaller wheels. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

But as you are looking at an S/C then the smallest wheels you will be able to fit are 19", but even the rubber on 19" wheels will make a noticable difference to the ride. I am running my TDV8 on 19" winter tyres art the moment and the ride is nicer than on it's standard fit 20's, but still not as comfy as when I ran my 2.7tdv6SE on 18" wheels and rubber 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
