Following a few electrical glitches, a transmission fault and suspension fault, dealer has told me that my Sport needs a new gear selector. Is this the whole panel including the TR knob, suspension and hi-lo range buttons or is it just the actual gearstick itself?

I did ask but the lass that rang to book the job said she wasn't sure! Was a new girl that's only been there a month so didn't want to be leaning on her TOO much! Need to give newbies a chance to learn..... |

I think this is connected to TSB LTB00253 "Transmission Fault Displayed In The Instrument Cluster".

Thanks for that Bobby. I thought it was the panel in the car when they said it would cure the suspension fault too! Just as well we've you around to keep us all straight! Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

If it is just the lever and pivot underneath, it certainly is not a 2.5hr job |
