Following a few electrical glitches, a transmission fault and suspension fault, dealer has told me that my Sport needs a new gear selector. Is this the whole panel including the TR knob, suspension and hi-lo range buttons or is it just the actual gearstick itself?

Dealer has said 2.5 hrs for the job and had to ask LR before they could book it back in to get it fitted!

Thanks for anyone that can tell me which bits they're changing!

I think this is connected to TSB LTB00253 "Transmission Fault Displayed In The Instrument Cluster".

Most probably they'll change just the Gear Selector Lever Assembly only. Its underneath, just near the gearbox. Malaysia Boleh!

If it is just the lever and pivot underneath, it certainly is not a 2.5hr job More like under 1/2 an hour.  RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i
