2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Not all RRS have the locking rear diff, in fact it is quite a rare option on non S/C cars. When you have it it makes quite a difference off road and IIRC all the LRE cars have it fitted and it is impressive to how soon it activates, even on road in slightly slippery conditions. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

When I put mine in GGS Mode the 2 x green padlocks indicate the diffs are locked.

If you turn the ignition off though - whiost keeping the dial on GGS - When you re-start the car the diffs don't get locked. You have to de-select GGS & then re-select it.
Apart from once yesterday when I was showing the lad the diffrence it makes between GGS and Sand mode mine has been in GGS since a week before Xmas and has had no problem locking up when the car needs it, I do have the E-Diff as well. If I drive according to the conditions then it never locks up, I have to do something to provoke it either by flooring the throttle or swinging the steering wheel violently. It does help having the MT/R tyres as they really bite into the snow Thumbs Up Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

No, they don't.

The diff-locks are only engaged when the padlocks change colour to orange. The driver has no control over this - but some TR modes pre-load the diffs to various degrees of lock.
