A good starting point would be the site sponsor Charles Hurst, a lot of good feedback from people who have used them. What dealers have you tried so far? I can recommend the Guy Salmon chain |

I'm afraid I couldn't recommend the Guy Salmon chain! Contact one of our dealer sponsors Sponsors Page I personally would recommend Lookers Park Royal (Was Charles Hurst LR) 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

You do need to test drive both cars before you make your mind up on which engine to go for. I was very disappointed with the TDV6 which I found very sluggish indeed - and that was after owning a Freelander 2.2 diesel. After 1 week with the TDV8 I am hooked on it. Best of luck with the search. |

it isn't just the engine that is different, although I think the TDV8 is a better drive than the 3.0tdv6 but I am biased! There are other bits that you get on a TDv8 that make it a better package IMHO. Also I reckon you might get more incentives to buy a TDv8 as LR dealerships are selling the 3.0lt V6's like they are going out of fashion. You may well have to wait for any RRS too at the moment, dealer stock of new ones is almost dried up as everybody wants them before Jan1! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

ive got to agree with tim on this one,i took the v6 out for a test run & was just about to sign the paper work at GS in wakefield when the salesman gave me the keys to take a v8 out for a test run,on returning i told him to cancel the v6 & get me a v8 which i had to wait another 3-4 week for him to find me one & ended up paying a extra 8 k but it was worth it.when im ready for another it will be a v8 again, its no good going backwards

There is a huge difference between the old 2.7 v6 and the new 3.0 v6, each to there own but you need to try them for yourself Regarding discount, i would get the best deal you can from your local dealer (if they ever get back to you ) then try a couple of the forum sponsers and give them a slight nudge, deals will depend on a few things ie available stock, trade in etc. I can recommend giving Matthew or James at Charles Hurst Park Royal a call MY10 3.0 TDV6 HSE, Zermatt Silver, 20" Diamond Turned Alloys, Factory Privacy Glass, Premium Leather, Contrast Stiching, Side Steps, Etc Gone 2006 '56' 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Zermatt Silver, 20", Side Steps, Brembos, Dynamic Pack, Etc VW Transporter, 19" Rims, T32 170 BHP, Lowered |

TDv8 due for replacement.................................... not at the moment. There are rumours but nothing from LR with regard to RRS. FFRR/L322/ big RR is rumoured to be getting a new 4.4ltr TDv8 later this year. It is also rumoured that there is a fleet of Hybrid RRS's on test and that comes from the CEO of Land Rover as he is looking forward to driving one in 2010 according to his quote in Autocar a couple of weeks back! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

3.5% discount is not very good imo. Have a look here mammothcars.com ? ? ? Plus things will be just as tough next year so bargain hard ! |

Andy, sorry for being naive, but what can the dealers fit? Mudflaps, mats Anything else? I would not consider privacy glass other than factory fit, else it shows the heating elements in the side rear windows. John |
