door handle removal ? how do you do it? is there any air bag prob's? do I have to take door cards off or is there a short cut? I have a 2006 model, wanting to colour code them. Please help I'm gonna do it 2moro, wed 09 dec 2009. cheers guys if ya can. Stephen Hughes |

Have spent 3 days looking on here for the answer??? it must be me ? a newbie to all this but the "search" hasn't worked for me, could you help me find it PLEASE

Up date!!!! have done it, and learnt how!! take the passengers side off first, this is done via your key from underneath the small cap comes off, but unlike the other door handles (on the 2006 model) the passengers door as a key barrel to remove first and this is done via a torx screw through the side of door when open, there should be a little rubber gromet, remove and seek hole and unsrew torx ( but becarefull not to drop it like i did with several trips to dealer B4 getting the right one , coz I didn't want to take door pad off looked involved ) I suggest you undo the torx screw while trying to wriggle the lock barrel out, and use a magnet attached to tool
