United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Alaska White
Fuel Consumption / Tank

Hi All

Have not been on site much lately. Been a tad busy Confused

I know fuel consumption has been mentioned many times over the years however just completed a long run with some around town driving and managed 31.5 mpg, started with full tank and completed 534 miles with trip showing zero for an uncomfortable 10 minutes !

So question - how much should the tank hold? Squeezed in 86 litres but owners manual states 84 litres capacity. Either the garage fuel pump is over reading or tank gets bigger with age ! MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Tank should be 84 litres but have on several occassions put in 88 litres.

Wondered if the Supercharged fuel tankl had been fitted as they are 88 litres and sometimes if the production lines run short they might use other parts they have or it could be the petrol station is short changing customers Sad

Won't this be the fuel tank plus the extra contained in the filler neck?

I am pretty sure my manual says 88 litres?! Question Could this be some kind of calculation difference?

At least I once put in 87 litres, the last five minutes to the filling station were really, really scary... Rolling Eyes Laughing RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

Surely the filler neck would account for about 2-3 litres??
