I have just made this conversion and it's better than I could have ever imagined.

They look so good and not at all 'Halfords' if you use original LR stock. Not cheap but well worth it.

I would suggest buying from Ebay (covertwiseguy has a shop, a great feedback score and packed them very well!). The other ones on Ebay say they come with resistors, which you need to fit or get fitted - why bother - for the same price!

ABSOLUTELY get ones with resistors fitted. My came all ready wired and the soldering and wire work was impecable. I have had loads of experience fitting LEDS with resistors (AUDI & BMW) and can say it can be a pain in the a55 working out the right one to use, which circuits need one etc etc.

These 2010 rear lights arrived and I had them on in seconds, all fully functioning and NO annoying dash warning lights or double speed blinking indicators. Don't mess go straight to him! (no I'm not him or a friend!).

See my before and after photo's. Excuse the state of the car, it's been minus 28 here this week - no way can I wash it - I can hardly breathe!

Enjoy

It was really easy, and yes Plug & Play - absolutely NO messing.

Hardest part was pulling the lights off. There are two screws on one side and two push / pull plugs on the other of each lamp unit. Once you've taken out the two screws you need to pull the whole light unit towards you. Unfortunately there is nothing to get hold of on the outside edge. I found the best way was to thread through a wide zip tie (you could use the plastic banding off a parcel or pallet) from the outside edge where the lamp unit meets with the body (the vertical edge that's about 30 cms long and next to the red reflector). Then you can push it through until you can get hold of the end next to where you took out the first two screws. Get a good grip of both ends and pull straight towards you.

TIPS - have someone ready to play wicket keeper when it comes free or it can fly off and swing around on it's connector and strike the side of the rear wing. Also, make sure that you cover the top of the bumper too, to protect the paint in the same way.

Place something between the zip tie / strapping and the lamp unit to spread the load and avoid cracking the lens edge.

Putting them back is simole, just align and push on, screw in the screws.

That's it. The first one took me 20 mins, the second about 3! Again, nice learning curve!

Take a look at the one you are going to fit so that you can see how the old one should come off - you will then have the confidence to give it a good yank.

I have to agree, when I first saw them they reminded me of those horrid 'Lexus' style lights all the boy racers fit to their Saxo's, 106's etc

But now that I see more of them around and that they are original kit, I'm hooked - obviously Razz

I paid £395 plus p&p, but sold my old ones on Ebay for £112 which helped a bit.

Had mine on for a couple of weeks now - really happy with them. It was either get these for £400 or get the same as my old ones but with clear indicators instead of orange ones for £240....no comparison!!!

Love them

Next job is to fix the dent in my rear bumper from reversing into a multistorey car park before Christmas....ahem!
