Has anyone figured out if the Comps PD1880 fit over the non-Supercharged brakes of a 2010 RRS? Gordon, did you get any more feedback from Bowler on this? Tx. |

Wasn't there some hoo-hah over whether Bowler actually sanctioned those Compomotive wheels anyway? |

Yeah, the caliper anti-resonance blocks on the "old" (05-09) S/C Brembos would contact the inner PD1880 rims, so Compomotive did not "recommend" fitting them... But it was easy to flip the blocks around manually to get them to fit w/o other issues (which is what the guy in the above photo did.) |

I was pestering them on a weekly basis up until this month. Matt replied and said he'd let me know as soon as they tried a fitting on the TDV6 - they tried the SC and (no surprise) it didn't fit. I'm heading over to Melbourne next week and will be catching up with Dynamic 4x4 to measure up their new steel 18" and see if it will fit. With regard to the GMAX custom rims, I've so far only got 6 interested parties, and they need a minimum order of 15 sets to do a production run. looks great disco4x4au. Was there any reason to prefer the maxxis to the cooper ltz? Is the offset standard? Did you use a 9" or 9.5" rim? Do you have any comparative feedback between the new setup and the MTR's. |

The Maxxis Bighorns are a mud terrain pattern - these tyres+rims will be for off-road use or 4WD Shows only. The offset is not standard (its +43mm) and I used an 8" rim. Tried them out this weekend and traction is far superior to the MTRs (as expected - I've used the Maxxis in competition work on my D3's). They really only fit with the suspension raised (via shortened height sensor rods or at off-road height only) and with bits of plastic cut out of the guards. No, I just use (swappable) shortened rods - lot cheaper and nothing to drill/break.
