Yes unless you have the prerequisite LR plug in diagnosis unit, you are going to have to go to the dealer. I had a new key programmed last week at a local dealer. I am told each key is VIN specific from the factory, and the dealer will need both keys, even if they are just reprogramming one! Last edited by 2nd Rower on Tue Nov 24 2009 10:45pm. I'm not technical enough, nor do I know enough about the RRSports electronics to be able to answer that.

The plot thickens, I took it into the dealer and they reprogrammed the keys but the car doesn't recognize them.

Has been some issues with batteries in the keys packing up, usually first sign of any key fob batteries failing is the remote locl/unlock.

I have to think that the problem is related to the work I did in the pillars.

acowx, maybe the problem is in your RF receiver itself?

The alarm antenna is in the roof lining in the centre if i remember correctly, the wires run to the side of the car and down the front screen pillar.
