differences between 05 to 07 models RRS TDV6 HSE

Hi,

my 1st post, please be gentle Smile

been lurking around for a little while, as i am planning to buy a rrstdv6.

one of the things i am a bit confused about are the changes made from the 55 plates models to the 57 plate models.

I understand changes were made, but don't know exactly what they are, hence don't know if it is worth paying the extra for a newer car.

maybe someone can enlighten me Smile

Thanks,

I cannot recall all the changes although they were minor until the new MY10, wheel options, trim options etc.....
Main gain on a 57 over a 55 is your warranty protection which is worth having Thumbs Up what model are you looking at?

You'll poss get more of a response on Monday when you tend to get more people on here Whistle whilst at work Laughing

Hi,

thanks for the welcome Smile

looking at a TDV6HSE. I want in black, with the sideboard, and the 20" inch alloys.

from what little I know, LR made a change sometime where they added a different type of suspension & brembo brakes.

but don't know what year this started.

I just noticed you had the HSE in the title Embarassed , the likes of Smoogle will be on here on Mon AM and the brakes suspension questions are the things he seems to recall Thumbs Up

The air compressor, turbos, ball joints and a few other parts including interior finish (from grey to black plastics) were upgraded over the years. If it's been looked after, should have had all the necessary work (except interior) and should be ok. You have to be careful with the early ones, make sure service history is good and get a dealer to give you a print out of previous issues / warranty work. If it's been trouble in the past, stay away.
