No Brembo brakes...back to the stone age!

On my last RRS (07), I was privileged to have 'Brembo' brakes fitted as standard which were amazing.'Razz' No snatching, smooth stops and no 'white knuckle' will it stop in time experiences.'Mad'

Don't know if its my imagination, but the generic ones fitted to my MY10 are rubbish by comparison. The require lots more distance, definitely not smooth and seem a retrograde step in both performance and safety.

I may be talking out of my exhaust pipe, or has anybody else experienced the same problems?'Shocked' .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

I suspect Brembos will always perform better than a regular manufacturer fit brake set up.

Whilst the std LR brakes will never be unsafe, this is a 2.7tonne 4x4 so you should always drive accordingly.

My brakes on my 2010MY HSE are superb. Did you bed them in properly? 2010MY Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE

It depends on how you drive. Wink
In my opinion a 2.7 tons car need good breaks. The FFRR has bigger breaks. The RRS only on S/C version...
